Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your email address current.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting your login credentials.
• You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for abuse, or attempt to bypass service restrictions.
• If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.

Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, notes, trip information and other content you upload or create, subject to any rights held by others.

You grant FollowMyTravels a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, provide the sharing choices you select, maintain backups and protect the platform.

You are responsible for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload, including content showing or describing other people.

Travel partners and shared journeys

A journey may contain content created by more than one participant. Invitations should only be sent to people you are entitled to contact. Participants may see and interact with information made available to the shared journey according to their permissions.

Removing a participant or deleting your own contribution does not automatically erase content lawfully created by another participant. Journey history may therefore include contributions from multiple people.

Places, events, maps and routes

Discovery and planning features combine your trip context with information from third-party providers. Results may include places, photos, ratings, routes, events, opening hours, addresses and other travel information.

Acceptable use

You must not use FollowMyTravels to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• upload malicious code, automate abusive requests, scrape protected service data or interfere with security controls;
• harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate others;
• publish content you do not have the right to share;
• attempt unauthorised access to accounts, private journeys, media or infrastructure;
• use the service in a way that unreasonably burdens, damages or disrupts it.

Our service and intellectual property

The FollowMyTravels name, branding, interface, original design, software and service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service to you.

You may use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or commercially exploit protected parts of the service except where the law expressly permits it.

Third-party services

Some features rely on or link to third parties such as mapping, place, geocoding, route, event, hosting and email providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites, services or content that we do not control.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, improve, replace or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and features that depend on external providers may become unavailable or change without notice.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or infrastructure, investigate abuse, comply with law, or respond to a serious breach of these terms.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination — such as ownership, disclaimers and limitations of liability — continue to apply.

Disclaimers and liability

FollowMyTravels is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party travel data, availability of a destination or event, route suitability, prices, opening hours, weather, safety or other real-world conditions.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to those mandatory protections, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of information supplied by third parties or from travel decisions made using the service.

Governing terms

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of FollowMyTravels, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that apply in their country of residence. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
